Air Filtration

Air filtration is a mechanical process where the air purification take place by involving a air cleaning media which normally made of fibrous material(non-woven) or wood pulp paper.

Dirty air contains of dust, sand or impurities being ducted toward filter media.
Air filtering through the filter media when passing through, leaving dust, sand and impurity behind.
Filtered clean air ducting toward engine combustion zone or air conditional cooling coil.

Automotive Engine Air filter

Engine air filter is a device composed of fibrous materials which removes solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mold and sand from the air. The combustion air filter prevents abrasive particulate matter from entering the engine’s cylinders, where it would cause mechanical wear and oil contamination.

Standard air filter interval change millage is 5000km (Maximum) in order to provide maximum engine performance. Oxygen is needed for complete fuel combustion converting the fuel power in form of heat to movement. Lack of oxygen due to low air filtration efficiency from the over clogged air filter lead to wastage of petrol (incomplete fuel combustion) producing low power but higher carbon dioxide output, hence more fuel has to be consume in general engine operation than usual (low combustion efficiency).

High pressure air blowing method to remove collected dust are strictly prohibited due to the damage of air filter media will occur, eventually dust and sands are allow to pass through the air filter due to the media pore being enlarged
